"Bro, you’re literally on my yoga mat right now."
I know I have posted about this before. But Rufio is ruining my zen….still. This picture was taken as I was in mountain pose.
He is always right there. I think he either is super sweet and wants to be with me or he secretly loves putting a kibosh on my routine. I’ll never know.
Oh and namaste from my canine to yours…..
Unfiltered scenes from a relaxing Easter weekend at my parents house. Where we: celebrated two birthdays, overate, took walks, and watched Stephanie transform into looking like a princess during her last wedding dress fitting. There is something so beautiful about seeing a bride in a wedding dress, no?
Four miles to start my Tuesday. It felt amazing! Getting up in the morning makes me feel more energized throughout the day.
If you are looking into starting workouts but are struggling with getting up- start small. Try a mile or even less. Just wake up twenty minutes early strap on those sneakers and go.
I promise you will love the tingle you feel in your muscles that day from that morning run. A sense of accomplishment will fill you and help you at work! Give it a try and let me know if it what you think! Anyone can wake up twenty minutes earlier right?
Stop and smell the roses..
With the weather getting nicer my workouts have been more enjoyable. Today, I laced up my sneakers set out on a morning jog. I didn’t have a plan or a time I wanted to achieve- I just wanted to enjoy the day.
After a long winter of discovering workout DVDs in an attempt to fill the void of a long run, I realized that again running is something that shouldn’t be taken for granted.
So with a new outlook on the morning workout- I took everything in as I ran all around my city. By the neighborhood bakery, over the train platform passing early morning commuters, through the park and finally on an outdoor track.
A wonderful run without any expectations.
A few of the girls out at Old Crow for Christina’s birthday on Saturday! Nothing like amazing weather in Chicago, listening to live music & being with my girls!
My breakfast- plain Greek yogurt, mixed berries, strawberry agave & Udis granola. Delicious!
Gpoyw- my sisters and mom post Blowtique appointments at Rock Bottom before shopping. Love those crazy broads.
Stephanie’s Bachelorette weekend!!!
To start I can say that the weekend was a success! After checking into the Hyatt, we headed to Blowtique. I had never been before but my sisters Jen and Christina swear by this place and I can see why. An hour after our arrival we had fifteen girls with volumized tresses! There is truly nothing better than having great hair. Nothing I tell you.
Afterwards we went to rock bottom for a few afternoon cocktails and lunch. We continued to get to know all of Stephanie’s friends and hear their stories of her. It was awesome. Getting to know someone who you adore’s friends is pretty cool. They were awesome ladies and I am even more excited for the wedding now!
After our lunches the girls did a little shopping on Michigan Ave while Christine, mom, Jen and I got to work! It was decoration time! We opened the bags of decorations and turned their suite into a pink bachlorette dream!
Once the girls changed into their LBD’s and steph into her white hot party dress we were ready. On the agenda? Champs and presents to start. Always a fun time at a bachlorette. We ate appetizers and laughed at the goofy items the girls presented Steph.
Before long, we were in Little Market Brasserie for dinner. This place is great if you are planning a Chicago bachlorette or even another event. We had Steph select items for a five course meal. It was perfect.
After dinner my mom headed out and the rest of the party headed to Rock It where we had a table for waiting for us. After many drinks were poured we went to El Hefe! It was a memorable bachlorette that made for an unproductive Sunday:) all in all it went off without a hitch!
The party is officially starting…..💗
